Salute to Nursing - Teresa Ortiz, BSN, RN

Teresa Ortiz photoTeresa Ortiz became a nurse because she likes to help people. Teresa is the nurse manager of critical care at Palmetto General Hospital. She manages all the critical care departments for ICU, SICU, CCU and Neuro ICU. Teresa says that to be a nurse you have to love the profession. She puts her heart into it and really cares and wants to make a difference. Teresa says she enjoys working with her staff and assisting everyone at the hospital to help others. Teresa received her Bachelor’s in Nursing from Florida International University. In her spare time, she likes to read books and go to the beach.
