Palmetto General Hospital Welcomes New Chief Operating Officer

Hialeah, Fla. (January 11, 2015) – Mark Racicot joins the administrative team at Palmetto General Hospital as chief operating officer. Racicot will be responsible for developing and implementing the daily operations of the 360-bed acute care hospital.

“On behalf of the entire staff at Palmetto General Hospital, I would like to extend Mark a warm welcome to our team,” said Ana Mederos, hospital CEO. “With his impressive leadership experience, we are confident that he will help our hospital further excel.”

Prior to joining Palmetto General Hospital, Racicot served as the associate chief operating officer at MetroWest Medical Center in Natick, Massachusetts. He also previously served as MetroWest’s senior director of support services and director of facilities. In addition to his experience in healthcare administration, Racicot is a licensed civil engineer.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Massachusetts, where he also completed a project management certification program. Racicot is currently pursuing his Master of Business Administration.
