Hialeah, Florida. (February 12, 2015) – Due to the high volume of medical responses in the area, American Medical Response (AMR) added two new ambulances to the streets of Hialeah with Palmetto General Hospital’s Comprehensive Stroke Center messaging on the exterior. The AMR emergency transportation units provide community residents with safe and efficient ground transportation to the hospital. These vehicles will serve as backup to the Hialeah Fire Department’s emergency vehicles.

The ambulances are also designed to help raise awareness about the importance of getting a stroke victim to a Comprehensive Stroke Center, such as Palmetto General Hospital, as quickly as possible.

With city officials in attendance, the vehicles were recently unveiled outside of the hospital following a celebratory brunch.
