Palmetto General Hospital Recognizes Employees During Hospital Week

- As part of its National Hospital Week observance, Palmetto General Hospital recognized some of its most dedicated employees.

Norma Guerra, front desk receptionist, was honored for her 40 years of service to the hospital, and Patricia Hammond, medical transcriptionist, was recognized for 45 years of service. Erna E. Cunningham, director of health management, and Madge L. Miller, LPN, were named the 2015 Tenet Heroes. Stefen Blanco, RN, was chosen as the 2015 Nurse of the Year, and Carlos Figueroa-Negron was honored as the 2015 Employee of the Year.

“I congratulate Norma, Patricia, Erna, Madge, Stefen and Carlos on each of their designations for excelling in their respective fields,” said Ana Mederos, CEO of Palmetto General Hospital. 

National Hospital Week is celebrated annually during the week of May 10-16. Through this year’s theme, Where Miracles Happen Every Day, hospitals all over the U.S. acknowledged the men and women who support the health of their communities through dedication and compassionate care.
