An Update for our community on the COVID-19 Vaccination Process

We are currently in Phase 1 of our COVID-19 vaccination plan.  This means we are vaccinating front line staff and physicians with first responders to follow.  We have started initial planning for community vaccinations, but we have not received enough vaccine supply at this time. We are working closely with our state and local leaders, and we will keep everyone informed as more vaccine doses become available and we are able to expand vaccination capability.  The most effective safety measures we can take against COVID-19 continue to be wearing a mask, washing our hands, and maintaining social distance. We remind our community not to delay care. Our hospitals are open, safe and ready to care for you.

Palmetto General Hospital Gears up for 2018-2019 Health Insurance Marketplace Open Enrollment Period Campaign

Feb 12, 2020

With the health insurance marketplace open enrollment beginning on November 1, 2018 and running through December 15, 2018, Palmetto General Hospital community education and outreach program aims to raise awareness and understanding of the Marketplace, as well as the insurance options available for those currently without insurance or looking to change plans.

As part of the enrollment effort, Palmetto General Hospital will provide a certified application counselor to assist residents in the Miami Dade community with enrollment in a marketplace insurance plan that is right for each person or family.

The program works with community partners to offer educational materials and resources about the insurance exchanges to help simplify the process and educate the public.
