Palmetto has volunteer opportunities for adults, seniors and teens age 14 and above in a variety of departments--working with patients as well as in non-patient areas.  Call today and discover how rewarding volunteer service can be. 

Opportunities For Teens 14-17

During the school year, Palmetto's MEDS Program (Medical Explorers Dedicated to Service) offers five fulfilling hours of volunteer work per week.

Our Teen Summer Volunteer/Career Awareness Program gives young people the opportunity to commit to at least eight hours of service during an eight-week program.  Teens must complete the application package, attend the parent/student information session and a full day of orientation, and provide proof of receiving the hepatitis B vaccine and a recent tuberculosis test.  Teens must  purchase their volunteer shirt.
