Pharmacy Residency Application
This post-graduate program will prepare Pharmacy Residents with the skills and knowledge necessary to practice in patient care settings, with the ability to educate other health-care professionals and patients, as well as for future PGY2 Pharmacy Residency training, with an expert level of proficiency, leadership and professionalism.
As a member of the healthcare team, residents must be able to manage and improve the medication use process. Residents will also be actively involved in the teaching activities of the department. The program offers flexibility and provides a strong foundation in all areas of pharmacy practice.
PROGRAM Core rotations consist of:
- Cardiology
- Critical Care
- Infectious Disease
- Internal Medicine
- Pharmacy Practice Management (Longitudinal)
- Ambulatory Services (Longitudinal)
- Academia (Longitudinal)
Elective rotations can occur in:
- Drug Information
- Mental Health
- Any of the Core Rotations

Application Requirement Eligibility requirements for the PGY-1 Residency Program include:
- Graduate from an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree
- Eligible for licensure in the State of Florida
- On-site Interview
- For non-resident alien applicants, authorization for employment for the duration of the residency program
