HIALEAH, FL – Palmetto General Hospital, a 360-bed acute-care hospital, has appointed Dr. Jose Leonardo Marquez as new Medical Director of the Catheterization Lab. As Medical Director, he is focused on providing high-quality cardiovascular services to residents of South Florida.
Dr. Marquez is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. He holds his medical license in Florida, New York and Georgia. Dr. Marquez has been practicing medicine in Miami since 1987. He attended the City College of New York, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in pre-medical studies and an associate’s degree in Biology. He received his medical degree from Universidad Central del Este in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
