Palmetto General Hospital, along with three other Miami-Dade Tenet hospitals, have launched a massive food and clothing drive for the people of Haiti.

The island nation was devastated by Hurricane Ike, which caused massive flooding and loss of lives.

North Shore Medical Center is located in the center of the Haitian community and will serve as the main collection site.

The hospitals are working in conjunction with the Archdiocese of Miami to collect non-perishable items, clothing and monetary donations for relief efforts.
