Since 1971, Palmetto General Hospital has been serving the growing health care needs of the northwest Dade and south Broward County communities. What began as a 50-bed acute care hospital is now a 360-bed acute care facility serving more than 500,000 patients annually with a dedicated medical staff of over 750 physicians, on staff, 160 allied health professionals, 1500 caring employees and 300 volunteers.
